Pitching Congress for support of music education

For the National Association for Music Education (NAfME), we created a movement that gave educators an argument to inspire change in local, state and national legislation. As a result, NAfME was invited to participate in the first congressional briefing for music education in over a decade. Supporters sent more than 10,000 letters to Congress during the debate. Music got the recognition it deserves when the Every Student Succeeds Act was signed, urging states to keep music part of their curriculum.
